🔥 August 2025 WATCHLIST: 🚀 The Disruptors, Innovators & Asymmetric Winners I’m Tracking NOW! 💸🔍 - PAID SUBSCRIBERS

24 stocks total - full analysis of each and which ones I like, which ones I'm waiting on and which ones I'm just adding to.

My Take

It’s super important in this world to be organized. A chaotic management of your personal portfolio can lead to outsized losses and an under performing portfolio. There are a couple of kinds of watch lists that I feel have benefited me over the years:

  1. A very short list - if a stock gets a 5%-10% loss - It doesn’t matter the time frame, it doesn’t matter the reason - just buy the stock. I usually have 3-5 stocks on this list. It served me well in buying Crowdstrike ( CRWD 0.00%↑ ) and Meta ( META 0.00%↑ ) and others during the April downturn.

  2. A medium sized list - these are stocks that I want to find optimal entries on. They may not be an immediate buy like the list above, but if a setup presents itself, make sure to start and then build a position in them.

  3. A long watch list of stocks I don’t own, but at some point may want to - this list I share on Trendspider for subscribers. I scan against it for entries in the 4 hour algorithm regularly and this is where I sometimes get ideas for “trades” around catalysts like earnings.

I typically don’t publish the #1 or #2 list at all because I feel teaching people to build and monitor their own list is a far more valuable skill than just saying “here’s a stock that I like and here’s why”. Everyone has different ways of doing things.

And a note about the lists I keep - 1 stock may be on all 3 lists as I monitor them all. I also may NEVER buy a stock that’s on the list - even the pullback list. Also sometimes if I don’t have a full position in a stock, then it could be on this list as well. If I don’t have a stock in my current portfolio, it has to “feel right” in order to add a new stock. I manage quite a few stocks, but I try and target to have no more than 15 holdings including ETF’s. I currently have 13 positions in my Fidelity portfolio PLUS the Alpha Picks portfolio. I don’t include the Alpha Picks in my “managed” positions as I typically am just buying and selling when they tell me to. I’ll add to the winners and manage them, but they are set up with alerts in Trendspider and that’s REALLY easy to manage.

And if you want even more?

Alpha Picks is 7 for 7 with portfolio companies BEATING earnings so far this earnings season. The portfolio is up 30% over 1 year and is absolutely KILLING it over this April recovery. Some of the stocks on my watch list are directly from this portfolio.
