I’m not sure I 100% agree with Ben that the amount of research time is the issue. I think investors and traders today have more information and they THINK they can time things better than buy and hold so I don’t know if it’s the amount of research or just the type of investor that’s in the market today with news surrounding you about how dangerous the market is which scares many people.
What’s funny is that Ben admits that early on he realized he would never be a good stock picker so he typically avoids talking about single stocks. I listen to him regularly on the Animal Spirts Podcast.
