New Video Course Series - Part 1 - What is Confirmation in a stock chart? Why do I use the MacD indicator? What is a button hook on a stock chart to help identify a reversal?

I'm starting a video course series where I'll use both technical trading and fundamental information to help teach people how I look at stocks using real life and current examples of stocks

Why a video course?

I know most of you have subscribed because of my podcast and you’re used to listening to me or watching the videos. It’s common sense that I would do that when trying to “teach” as well so this has been a long time coming and it should have started sooner.

The full course video will be below for paid subscribers, but here’s a short sample. You’ll see it’s in the format that you’re used to.

The old saying of “Give a person a fish and you feed them for the day, but if you teach a them to fish, you feed them for a lifetime”. I don’t want people following other investors or traders in to trades and would rather have them use guidance and then be educated enough in the basics of stock charts and fundamentals so you can make your own decision. I’m by no means an expert or an analyst, but I’ve been able to mass above average returns in the stock market for almost 30 years. The tools I use today are far different than in the past and my tool kit continues to expand as new tools are developed.

My Tools

The tools I use today are simple:

  1. Trendspider for charts, my 4 hour algorithm, alerts on when to buy and sell things on my watchlist or in my portfolio and so much more. This is the technical part of my process because charts have no emotions or opinions and price is all that matters. Get all of the tools I’ve created within Trendspider including all my algorithms, watchlists and scanners that I show daily on the podcast.

Get 6 months FREE, my 5 minute, 65 minute and 4 hour algorithms, custom watch lists, custom scanners and MORE when you sign up today.
  • Seeking Alpha Premium - this is the fundamental part of my process. The Quant system they have for ranking stocks is unmatched and beats out the S&P. But you do have to choose the stocks you want to look at. It’s not a curated portfolio, but understanding the Valuation, Growth, Profitability, Momentum and Revisions of a stock is invaluable in helping make buying or selling decisions. The overall Quant rating along with Wall Street ratings are why I love this tool.

  • Alpha Picks - I use this mainly for the stocks they choose. It’s 2 stocks per month and a managed portfolio where they tell you when to sell. The 2+ year performance of this portfolio greatly beats the S&P and that’s a portfolio that deserves to be looked at. If you are new to fundamentals, the analysis they provide of the stocks when they buy them and the constant portfolio updates where they give updates on the stocks in the portfolio is great for both seasoned investors and beginners.
